Applicants to the Certified Institute of Business Entrepreneurs (CIBE) are required to meet the specified criteria for their chosen membership category and submit all relevant academic and professional documents for verification. Admission is subject to review, payment of prescribed fees, and approval by the Institute.
To register as a Student Member of the Certified Institute of Business Entrepreneurs (CIBE), an applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate of a recognized College, Polytechnic, or University, or its equivalent.
Student membership is valid for a maximum period of three (3) years, within which the student member is expected to progress to Associate Membership of CIBE through the prescribed certification or examination pathway.

An applicant may become an Associate Member of the Certified Institute of Business Entrepreneurs (CIBE) either by Examination or by Exemption.
Qualified applicants include Student Members of CIBE or graduates of business-, management-, entrepreneurship-, finance-, accounting-, or technology-related disciplines from recognized Colleges, Polytechnics, or Universities, who have less than ten (10) years post-graduation experience and do not yet hold a recognized professional qualification.

The professional examination courses to be written are:
i. Entrepreneurial & Business Applications
ii. Financial & Digital Tools for Business
iii. Innovation, Risk & Forensic Business Practices
iv. Contemporary Business Issues & Digital Entrepreneurship
The four (4) courses are written together in a 120-minute examination consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions.
CIBE professional examinations are conducted four (4) times yearly (quarterly), usually within the last week of each quarter. The examination portal will be opened for a 24-hour window on the scheduled examination day.
Pass Mark
A candidate must score a minimum of 100 marks out of 200 (50%) or above to pass the examination.
Candidates who successfully pass the examination are awarded the Associate Certified Business Entrepreneur (ACBE) designation only after approval of the Certificate of Membership by the CIBE Board.
Re-taking the Examination
Candidates who score below the pass mark may re-sit the examination by re-registering and paying a discounted examination fee of $100 (USD).
Score Report
A preliminary pass/fail score report will be issued immediately upon completion of the examination and also sent to the candidate’s registered email address.
Course Award
Upon successful completion of the professional examination and attainment of the required pass mark, candidates will receive a Certificate of Associate Membership, subject to approval by the CIBE Board.
Applicants who possess recognized professional qualifications in business, management, entrepreneurship, finance, accounting, or related disciplines may apply for direct Associate Membership by Exemption. Such applicants are required to complete a mandatory practical refresher course as part of the certification process.

Upon verification by the Institute, the applicant shall pay a total sum of $300 (Three Hundred US Dollars), broken down as follows:
Membership Fee – $250
Refresher Course Fee – $50

An annual subscription fee of $20 (USD) or its local currency equivalent is payable by every Associate Member of CIBE.
Course Award
Upon successful completion of the Refresher Course, applicants will be issued a Certificate of Associate Membership, subject to the approval of the CIBE Board.
Intending Fellows of the Certified Institute of Business Entrepreneurs (CIBE) must be nominated by an existing Fellow of the Institute or recommended by a member of the Governing Council. The nominee must have attained significant professional recognition in their field of expertise, demonstrated through industry leadership, media recognition, notable citations, awards of excellence, or sustained outstanding performance over a minimum period of five (5) years.
In addition, the nominee must be a member of a recognized professional body and is required to complete a compulsory online practical refresher course as part of the Fellowship certification process.

An annual subscription fee of $20 (USD) or its local currency equivalent is payable by every Fellow of CIBE.
Upon successful completion of the compulsory Refresher Course, applicants will be awarded a Certificate of Fellowship, subject to the approval of the CIBE Governing Board.
